Job Description
Primary Objective of Position
To present a positive first impression of Iron Cactus. To demonstrate excellence in Salesmanship, Individuality and Creativity, Knowledge – Food, Beverage, Environment, Communication, Teamwork, Guest Focus and Service Standards. To maintain guest satisfaction by adhering to service requirements with thorough menu knowledge and guest relation skills. To assist all team members in ensuring that we exceed guest expectations.
Essential Functions

Maintain friendly, courteous temperament and a neat, clean professional image.

Maintain eye contact with Guests.

Have complete menu and bar knowledge. Know and consistently perform all procedures for food, beverage presentation, plating and delivery when required.

Anticipate with inquiry guests’ needs.

Exibits focused sense of urgency and always walks with a purpose.

Exhibits quick, accurate and careful cash handling methods.
-
Request ID of anyone who looks 40 or younger.

Keep all working areas clean and organized.
-
Restock necessary supplies and brings all areas up to standard.
-
Prebus when delivering food and beverages.
-
Discusses problem areas with manager.
-
Never serve intoxicated guest or never over serve any Guest.

Performs open, shift change and/or closing duties.

Informs expo, runners, support of special requests, errors.

Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.

Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives.

Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees and purveyors to establish a cooperative environment.

At all times provides a favorable image of Iron Cactus.

Notifies manager of any guest that is appears to be unhappy.

Assists various stations as necessary – assists in running food.

Guests are taken care of with 100% compliance to state and federal law as well as company standards.
Qualification Standards

High School graduate or equivalent preferred
-
Must be 18 years of age or older

Valid Food Handler Card required
-
Valid TABC Certification required
-
Ability to work flexible shifts including, nights, weekends, and holidays

Ability to work in a fast pace environment

Must have a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor
-
Must be able to pass all quizzes, tests and complete all workbook assignments.

Must be neatly dressed and well groomed in clean, company approved attire

Must be able to read menus.

Stands and walks during 6-8 hour shift; Reaches, bends, stoops and wipes
-
Must be able to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance
-
Must be able to clearly communicate guests’ needs to team members and managers.

Must be able to hear well in a loud environment in order to answer telephone and respond to guest requests

Accurate math and cash handling

May be required to carry trays or supplies (10-30 lbs.)

Must be able to calmly respond to angry guests and notify manager of situation
